You might be considering therapy because you're grappling with life transitions, emotions, or relationships. Perhaps you feel a persistent struggle between expectations of happiness and recurring feelings of isolation, worry, or guilt. This may feel unfamiliar and unsettling if it's a new experience, or numbing if it has persisted for too long.

The goals of therapy vary widely: alleviating distress, processing trauma, gaining insight, feeling supported, building confidence, developing strategies, or improving relational dynamics. I'm here to listen not only to what you say but also to what remains unspoken, guiding you through the process of change. Whether this is through psychodynamic practices, EMDR, or a combination of both.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers a supportive environment where you can be heard, understood, and accepted. With a psychodynamic therapist, a space is created to delve into confusing or dissatisfying aspects of yourself and your life, understanding how early experiences have shaped your mind, brain, and body. We will unpack and seek to better understand how early attachment relationships and adversity may continue to impact you and discover the root of your symptoms to be able to heal.

Eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life events. By healing the brain neurologically, we will improve and restore your mind-body connection to alleviate distress associated with past memories.

I will help you explore who you are and create space for discovering who you want to become.
