About

I help people who want to gain greater understanding about themselves and their environment. My clients are self-aware and struggling with their sense of self. They have been historically minoritized and sometimes have never been in therapy before. Let me provide you a space of warmth and empathy; to be able to heal, deconstruct, and increase awareness and insight about the self. The foundation of my therapeutic work is trauma-informed, culturally attuned, relationally focused, and neurodiversity affirming.

In previous clinical and therapeutic roles, I have supported individuals across all stages of life. I started my professional path with a focus on early childhood development (ages 0-5), and then expanded into providing care for children and adolescents in both hospital and outpatient settings, at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Later, I transitioned to working with young adults and non-traditional students at Biola University, Texas Tech University, and The Claremont Colleges, before establishing my private practice. Here, I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and couples, offering both therapeutic support and comprehensive psychological assessments.

Additionally, I have had the opportunity to offer therapeutic services to those in Mexico, South Africa, California, Texas, and currently in the state of Washington. Central to my approach is a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and relational framework, emphasizing the importance of understanding how our minds and bodies signal safety and well-being. Throughout my career, I've been dedicated to advocating for holistic and culturally sensitive care while working to reduce mental health stigma in diverse and minoritized communities. I am dedicated to advocacy and ongoing education beyond clinical practice, contributing to the field through research, presentations at local and national conferences, and by teaching both traditional and non-traditional undergraduate students.

Outside of work, I find joy in allergy-friendly cuisine, dogs, interior design, nature, and exploring spirituality. Originally from California, I relocated to Seattle to pursue my career in private practice.
